Before I started receiving support, I found it difficult to manage my daily activities and felt isolated from others. I wanted to be more independent, but I didn’t know how to get there. When I connected with EmpowerBridge Alberta Society, I was introduced to community support services that were tailored to my needs.

Through social and recreational programs, I began participating in community activities and meeting new people. This helped me build friendships and feel more included. With consistent encouragement and guidance, I became more confident in my abilities and started taking on more responsibility in my daily life.

Today, I can do many things on my own that I couldn’t do before. I feel more independent, confident, and connected to my community. EmpowerBridge has helped me believe in myself and build a better life.

As a parent of a child with developmental disabilities, I often felt overwhelmed by the daily demands of caregiving. Balancing my child’s needs with other responsibilities left me exhausted, stressed, and at times isolated, without the guidance and support I needed.

Things began to change when we connected with EmpowerBridge. Through respite care, I was able to rest and recharge, knowing my child was safe.

Through this support, I gained new skills, accessed helpful resources, and became more connected to my community. Today, we feel less stressed, more confident as a family, and hopeful about the future, knowing we are better equipped to support our child’s growth and wellbeing.
