Executive Director
Don Francis
Don serves as the Director of Operations at EmpowerBridge, where she oversees daily operations, program delivery, and organizational efficiency. Don brings strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills to her role, supporting staff across departments and driving continuous improvement in service delivery. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, along with additional training in Operations Management and Leadership. Her academic background, combined with her practical experience, equips her to lead complex operations while maintaining a focus on quality, accountability, and client-centered service.

Program Manager, Harm Reduction Services
Ashley Jones
Ashley has close to a decade of experience working in addictions, mental health, and homelessness. She holds a Master's degree with Honours in Addictions and Mental Health and is strongly committed to trauma-informed care and harm reduction practices. In her role, Ashley leads the design and delivery of harm reduction programs that prioritize safety, dignity, and accessibility for individuals facing complex challenges. She has extensive experience in crisis intervention, case management, and community outreach. She works closely with healthcare providers, social service agencies, and community partners to create integrated support pathways.

Program Manager, Respite Services
Tess Brown
Brown holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) in Clinical Social Work and currently oversees all respite operations at EmpowerBridge. She combines strong clinical knowledge with creativity, bringing a positive, person-centered approach to holistic care. Brown has contributed to developing policy manuals, enhancing intake services, and supporting cross-functional initiatives in marketing and staff training. Her work is guided by organization, compassion, and a sense of play, ensuring clients feel both supported and empowered. She is committed to maintaining high standards of service delivery by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Program Manager, Immigration and Newcomer Services
Lisa Rose
Lisa is the Program Manager for Immigration and Newcomer Services at EmpowerBridge, where she leads the development and delivery of programs that support immigrants and newcomers in successfully settling and integrating into the community. She holds a Graduate Diploma in Immigration and Citizenship Law, equipping her with in-depth knowledge of immigration processes, policies, and client advocacy. Lisa brings a client-focused and culturally responsive approach to her work.

Program Manager, Non-Clinical Barrier Programs
Kelin Nye
Kelin is the Program Manager for Non-Clinical Barrier Support Programs at EmpowerBridge, where she leads initiatives designed to help individuals overcome everyday challenges that impact their stability and well-being. Her work focuses on addressing barriers such as housing access, transportation, employment readiness, and system navigation. Kelin holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, along with a Postgraduate Certificate in Community Development and Social Services Management.

Program Manager, Developmental Disabilities Programs
Jessica Smith
Jessica is the Program Manager for Developmental Disabilities Programs at EmpowerBridge, where she leads the design and delivery of services that support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving greater independence and quality of life. She holds a Master's degree in Disability and Community Studies, providing her with a strong foundation in inclusive practices, community engagement, and person-centered support. Jessica brings both knowledge and compassion to her role, ensuring that programs are tailored to meet the unique needs.

Occupational Health & Safety Supervisor
Andy Cole
Andy brings over five years of experience in Occupational Health and Safety. As a former Industrial Safety Officer, She has played a key role in implementing EmpowerBridge's safety program and strengthening the development of the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee. She is highly skilled in risk assessment, incident investigation, and developing workplace safety policies and procedures. Andy is committed to fostering a strong safety culture by providing staff training.

Intake Coordinator
Debbie Green
Debbie serves as the Intake Coordinator at EmpowerBridge, bringing a strong background in client services and administrative coordination. He is often the first point of contact for individuals and families seeking support, and he is known for his welcoming, compassionate, and professional approach. In his role, Debbie manages the intake process from initial inquiry to service placement, ensuring that each client's needs are carefully assessed and matched with appropriate programs.

Behaviour Specialist Coordinator
Zhang Alex Lee
Alex is a Behaviour Specialist Coordinator at EmpowerBridge, where he supports the development and coordination of behaviour-focused programs for individuals with developmental and complex needs. He works closely with multidisciplinary teams to implement effective, person-centered behaviour support strategies that promote safety, independence, and overall well-being. Alex holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).
The EmpowerBridge Team in Edmonton is the heart of our organization, bringing together a diverse group of professionals united by a shared commitment to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, newcomers, and those facing non-clinical barriers. Each team member contributes unique expertise, experience, and passion, ensuring that our programs and services are both high-quality and person-centered.

Our team includes social workers, program managers, occupational health and safety specialists, behavioural specialists, intake coordinators, and administrative staff. This multidisciplinary approach allows us to address the full spectrum of our clients’ needs, from emotional and behavioural support to practical assistance with housing, employment, and community integration.

Collaboration is central to how we work. Team members communicate across departments, share best practices, and innovate together to enhance program delivery. Every staff member is committed to creating safe, inclusive, and empowering environments, where clients and caregivers feel heard, respected, and supported.

Health and Safety Committee
At EmpowerBridge Alberta Society, the health and safety of our clients, staff, volunteers, and visitors is a top priority. Our Health and Safety Committee plays an important role in creating and maintaining a safe, healthy, and supportive environment across all of our services and programs.

The committee is made up of representatives from management and staff who work together to identify workplace hazards, review safety practices, and recommend improvements that promote well-being and prevent incidents.
