Home Living Supports

At EmpowerBridge Alberta Society, our Home Living Supports are designed to help individuals live safely, independently, and with dignity in a home environment that meets their unique needs. We provide flexible, person-centred support services for individuals with developmental or physical disabilities, as well as those requiring additional assistance in daily living.

Independent Living Support

We support individuals who live in their own homes by providing assistance with daily activities such as:

  • Personal care and hygiene

  • Meal preparation and nutrition

  • Medication reminders

  • Household tasks and organization

  • Budgeting and life skills development

Our goal is to help clients maintain independence while receiving the support they need.

Shared Living Arrangements

For individuals who prefer a more social environment, we offer shared living options, where clients live with others in a supportive home setting.

  • Trained staff provide structured, ongoing support

  • Residents share common spaces while maintaining personal privacy

  • Services are tailored to each individual’s needs and goals

Staffed Residential Supports

We provide staffed home environments, including options with overnight or 24-hour support for individuals who require a higher level of care.

These services include:

  • Continuous supervision and safety monitoring

  • Support with mobility and personal care

  • Assistance during emergencies or health-related needs

  • Structured routines to promote stability and wellbeing

Skill Development and Independence

Our supports are focused on helping individuals build essential life skills, including:

  • Cooking and meal planning

  • Cleaning and home maintenance

  • Communication and social skills

  • Time management and routine building

We work with each client to create a personalized support plan that encourages growth and independence.

Community Integration

We encourage and support clients to be active members of their community by assisting with:

  • Attending appointments and community programs

  • Recreational and social activities

  • Volunteering and employment readiness
